Ahmedabad: Terming the present UPA government at the Center as the most corrupt India has ever seen, Janata Party President Subramaniam Swamy said that UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi was equally responsible for all the scams along with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

Swamy was in Surat on Saturday to attend a programme named Gujarat Nu Gaurav, organized by Gujarat Gaurav Samithi at Sardar Smruti Bhavan in Varachha.

“Why should only the prime minister be held responsible for all scams popping out in the UPA regime? UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi is equally responsible and she can’t escape from her responsibilities. She is a very corrupt politician,” Swamy said.

He also called Sonia Gandhi a ‘vish-kanya’ and ridiculed Rahul Gandhi by referring to him as buddhu (fool). “How can people trust such people? It is time, Indians should think for the country,” he added.

Swamy also lashed out at P Chidambaram calling him highly corrupt. “I am going to register four more criminal cases against him, which are related to corruption and crime,” Swamy informed.

Claiming that the UPA government was the worst ever, Swamy said that BJP is the only option left before people, expressing hope that it will regain power in 2014 with a thumping majority. Commenting on Gujarat and Narendra Modi, Swamy said that the state had progressed greatly under his regime.

However, Swamy displayed ignorance about Sanjay Joshi’s current status in RSS. He offered to take Joshi in his party, if the latter expresses his desire to join it. Swamy avoided talking about Joshi and Modi in the same breath.
